Age Well: Gentle Strength Yoga

This playful and empowering class is designed for mature yogis who want to build gentle strength, mobility, and flexibility to support movement both on and off the mat.

While each class engages the full body to create balanced strength, the Standing Strong Series focuses on rebuilding confidence and stability through standing poses. As we age or recover from injury, it’s common to move away from standing postures and transitions — yet most of our daily activities happen on our feet. These poses are essential for maintaining balance, mobility, and functional strength in everyday life.

Each session offers thoughtful progressions to support beginners and challenge experienced students alike.

Through mindful movement, focused alignment, and supportive coaching, you’ll:

  • Explore a new pose each week to deepen your practice.
  • Build safe, functional strength using body weight, bands, balls, and light weights to enhance your yoga practice and everyday movement — even in low-impact sports like golf or curling.
  • Enhance balance, confidence, and body awareness, helping you move with greater ease and stability in all that you do.
